Herpes Treatment
While there is no treatment that can cure Herpes, antiviral medications will shorten and prevent outbreaks during the period of time the person takes the medication. Dr. Nassir has years of experience caring for and treating people with Herpes, developing a long term care relationship is his goal, and is what sets OC STD Center apart.

If left untreated Herpes can increase your chance of getting HIV and can also spread to different parts of the body.

Chlamydia Treatment
Chlamydia can easily be treated and cured with antibiotics. Persons with Chlamydia should abstain from sexual intercourse until they and their sex partners have completed treatment, otherwise re-infection is possible. HIV-positive persons with Chlamydia should receive the same treatment as those who are HIV negative.

If left untreated Chlamydia can progress into serious reproductive and other health problems. In women, an untreated infection can spread into the uterus or fallopian tubes which can cause pelvic inflammatory disease (PID).

Warts Treatment
There are a variety of methods used to treat Genital warts. Creams, freezing, laser therapy or surgery are some of the options available.

Genital wart cream is applied to and around the outbreak and works to boost your immune system’s ability to fight genital warts.

Freezing – Otherwise known as cryotherapy, is the process of freezing the wart with liquid nitrogen. As the skin heals the lesions slough off, allowing new skin to appear.

If left untreated genital warts may increase your risk of contracting certain cancers and my create problems during pregnancy.

Gonorrhea Treatment
Gonorrhea can successfully be cured by several antibiotics. Because many people with Gonorrhea also have Chlamydia antibiotics are usually given together. Persons with Gonorrhea should be tested for other STDs.

It is important to take all of the medication prescribed to cure gonorrhea. Although medication will stop the infection, it will not repair any permanent damage done by the disease. People who have had gonorrhea and have been treated can get the disease again if they have sexual contact with persons infected with gonorrhea. If a person’s symptoms continue even after receiving treatment, he or she should return to a doctor to be reevaluated.

If left untreated a person may experience hurtful swelling in the joints, penis and vagina. You also have a higher chance of getting HIV. A pregnant woman may also give the infection to her baby.

Symptoms of vaginitis include: irritation and or itching of the genital area, inflammation of the labia majora, labia minora or perneal area, vaginal discharge, foul vaginal odor, pain/irritation during sexual intercourse.

If left untreated HIV can affect every part of your body leading to dangerous weight loss, cancer, mental problems, blindness & even death!

Syphilis Treatment
Syphilis is easy to cure in its early stages. Usually a single injection of the antibiotic penicillin will cure a person who has had Syphilis less than a year. For people who are allergic to penicillin, other antibiotics are available to treat syphilis. There are no home remedies or over-the-counter drugs that will cure syphilis. Treatment will kill the syphilis bacterium and prevent further damage, but it will not repair damage already done.

If left untreated Syphilis can cause blindness, brain damage, heart disease and even death!

Trichomonas Treatment
Trichomonas can usually be cured with prescription drugs given my mouth in a single dose. The symptoms of trichomonas in infected men may disappear within a few weeks without treatment. However, an infected man, even a man who has never had symptoms or whose symptoms have stopped, can continue to infect or re-infect a female partner until he has been treated. Therefore, both partners should be treated at the same time to eliminate the parasite. Persons being treated for trichomonas should avoid sex until they and their sex partners complete treatment and have no symptoms.

If left untreated, Trichomonas can increase your chance of getting HIV or other STDs. Pregnant women may face having their baby being born too small or early.

Prostatitis Treatment
Prostatitis is treated with antibiotics. Dr. Nassir may also prescribe an anti-inflammatory medication and a decongestant to be taken in combination with the antibiotics.

If left untreated Prostaitis may lead to a variety of urinary and or reproductive complications.

Erectile Dysfunction Treatment
If you’re concerned about erectile dysfunction, talk to Dr. Nassir. Sometimes, treating an underlying condition is enough to reverse erectile dysfunction. In other cases, medications or other direct treatments might be needed.

If left untreated Erectile Dysfunction can cause stress, affect your self-confidence and contribute to relationship problems. Problems getting or keeping an erection also can be a sign of an underlying health condition that needs treatment and a risk factor for heart disease down the road.

Premature Ejaculation Treatment
Dr. Nassir treats Premature Ejaculation by advising behavioral techniques, or prescribing topical anesthetics. It may take a little time to find the treatment or combination of treatments that will work for you.
