Prostatitis Treatment

Treatment Plan – Dr. Nassir is an experienced doctor trained in General & Internal Medicine, with additional training in the testing and treatment of Sexually Transmitted Diseases (STD). Dr. Nassir has years of experience in administering Prostatitis Treatment. Developing a long term treatment relationship with his patients is his goal and is what sets OC STD Center apart from its competitors. In addition to recommending specific lifestyle changes, Dr. Nassir treats Prostatits with antibiotics.

Medication – Dr. Nassir treats Prostatitis by prescribing antibiotic medication. Antibiotics are to be taken anywhere from 2 weeks to 1 month. In addition to the antibiotic medication Dr. Nassir may also prescribe anti-inflammatory medication and decongestants to be taken in combination with the antibiotics.

Life Style Changes – For patients diagnosed with Prostatitis Dr. Nassir recommends limiting the following:

  • Caffeine
  • Spices / Spicy Food
  • Alcohol
  • Smoking
  • Acidic Juices
  • Excess Sexual Activity

Risks – If left untreated Prostaitis may lead to a variety of urinary and or reproductive complications.
